Vanessa is co-author of the blog At the Picket Fence along with her sister Heather. Her passion for sharing her heart and her home have allowed her opportunities to be featured in several publications including Good Housekeeping, Cottages and Bungalows Magazine, Celebrating Everyday Life Magazine, Southern Belle Magazine as well as the online sites Proverbs 31 Ministries, Roo Magazine and (in)courage.  She serves as a regular contributor to HGTVGardens.com and Houzz.com.  Vanessa has a strong desire to help other bloggers carve out their own corner of this ever-changing industry, but she relishes most of all her roles as wife to her husband of 15 years, mom to her two precocious kids and homemaker.
